Dachshund through the snow!
This is Maggie- she is 8 1/2. Her daddy was a dachshund and her mommy was a chow/german shepherd mix. Maybe she and Mojo are long lost siblings!

They took him out for a morning walk, he slipped out of his collar and took off. He is still missing if you have seen him email me at birdgerd@yahoo.com and title the email Buddy. He was lost in Salmon Creek in Vancouver, WA, but he could be anywhere. It was very strange that he would do this.

Writer and broadcaster was happily married to Jonathon Dimbleby, then her life fell apart when he left her, and it was left to her tiny rescue Maltese Bonnie to help her rebuild her life. She talks about her experiences and her book Small dogs can save your life. Dachshunds can look sweet but it can be a huge mistake to judge the nature of the dog by its appearance, hear the truth from Molly Morlino of Hill Country Dachshunds. In the DogCast Radio News hear the contrasting stories of the dog who slept through a burglary and the dog who truly went the extra mile to save his family from a fire. In Buddy's Diary, Buddy tells of the devastating consequences of Star being over-enthusiastic on a walk. Cuddle up with your favourite canine companion and enjoy DogCast Radio.
I've had a fantastic time today finding out about the dog sport of Schutzhund with the Leicestershire Schutzhund Club. I'm researching an article for Dogs Monthly, and recording interviews for DogCast Radio too. I was offered the chance to be the "helper" - the one who wears the glove. I jumped at the chance, and although as you can see in the first photo the force of lovely German Shepherd Susie's jump surprised me at first, all she wanted to do was play tug of war with the glove. If the glove is thrown on the floor, the dog picks up the glove and ignores the person who has thrown it on the floor. It's just like a game of tug you might play with your dog with a rope toy.
This little guy (full grown at 21 pounds) came from a hoarding situation--40 dogs in a house. The report says that the identifiable breeds were dachshund, beagle and chow, so it is assumed that he's a mix.
Someday I'll do the DNA test to try to get a definitive answer. People think he's a Golden Retriever/Corgi mix, but I doubt there's a drop of either breed in him.
Does anyone else have a doxie/beagle/chow mix that looks like this?
