Doggy game designer Nina Ottosson was on the Company of Animals stand at Crufts.
Crufts is only days away, and there's always lots of great doggy people in attendance. Dr Roger Mugford will be one of them, and you can hear an interview with him in Episode 48 of DogCast Radio.
‘Founding Father’ of pet behaviour therapy,
Dr Roger Mugford, shares his expertise with Crufts visitors
Top animal psychologist, Dr Roger Mugford, will once again be offering free advice to visitors on the Company of Animals’ stand at Crufts on any aspect of canine behaviour.
As a Labrador owner I know all about the amount of fur that a dog can shed. The amazing amount of fur a dog can shed. The incredible, mind-blowing amount of fur a dog can shed that makes you ask the question, "How come that dog isn't completely bald now?" I brush, I sweep and I vacuum in a vain bid to keep control of the situation, but the fur builds up around the edges of the room, and clings to furniture and clothes.
If you do that too you might be interested in the Furminator:
If your dog is interested in toys (which I guess most are) you'll know how much a good play enriches his day. Our dogs love their toys whether it's chasing a ball or worrying away at a distraction toy to get the goodies out of it. Buddy's favourite toy of all time was his Kong Wubba, which is the only toy he ever stood up to Star over, refusing very un-Labrador-like to share it. Star loves her plush squeaky telephone toy, but she can only have supervised access to it because Buddy would see it off in two minutes flat.
I met and interviewed Dr. Roger Mugford at his Train and Behave Week. He’s a real character who’s lots of fun and not afraid to speak his mind. He’s also passionately committed to dogs; his own and those whose owners appeal to him for training or legal help. He is extremely likeable in person.
Roger invented the Halti, and sells many variations on a Kong theme. You can find his website at www.companyofanimals.co.uk
Here’s some thoughts from Roger about Crufts and the contribution of showing to the development of dogs:
