We've just got home from a highly enjoyable visit to Graeme and Maureen Sims. Graeme has a book out later this month, and having read it, I can thoroughly recommend it. Give a Dog a Home focuses on how best to settle rescue dogs into their new homes, and how to approach training them. Graeme uses two rescues dogs he has taken in, to illustrate how it can require lateral thinking to come up with a training regime that suits the dog. The interview we recorded today with Graeme will be in a DogCast Radio show later this year.
The book is a great read; Graeme is a brilliant

Keeping an eye on dog-related news items is part of compiling DogCast Radio, and it seems there have been some unusual mishaps recently.
I had done some Heelwork to Music, so I was very excited to take up the opportunity of getting advice from expert Gina Graham at the Cold Wet Nose Show. I showed her what Buddy could do, and asked advice with getting him to walk backwards in a straight line which I was having trouble with.
Then she offered me the chance to work one of her dogs, which was fantastic! It was really fun to work a dog that was so quick and responsive. It gives me something to aim for with Buddy.
Kate and Gin shot to fame in the UK television show Britain's Got Talent. Here they are entertaining the crowd at the Cold Wet Nose Show with another brilliant display of doggy dancing.
Gin is a very clever dog, and so willing to work. Kate is obviously a talented trainer with lots of patience to train her Border Collie. Here they are dancing to Abba's Mama Mia.
