Dogs Trust Grass allergy dog finally gets to run on snow covered grass
Snow may be causing havoc across much of the country but one special homeless hound has been desperately waiting for the fist flake of snow to fall all winter. Eight –year-old Labrador cross Buster, a four legged resident at Dogs Trust Darlington was diagnosed with a grass allergy two years ago which means he is unable to set foot on grass but luckily the snow provides a layer of protection for Buster’s paws so he is able to bound around in the snow to his heart’s content. As Britain continues to endure a cold and icy snap, our four-legged friends need a little extra care and warmth to ensure they cope with the wintery conditions.
There seems to be so much unhappiness about the John Lewis advert that we have created a Facebook page called Stop the John Lewis Christmas Ad. If you're on Facebook please do visit that page and watch the advert; and if you feel moved, complain to John Lewis. This ad from a very well UK department shop is sending out a dreadful message about the conditions in which it's acceptable to keep a dog.
Angel loves the snow. She loves snow plowing with her face.
The snow seems like a distant memory now, but when it was here Buddy and Star had an encounter with a snowman. Just as they had got used to the field across the lane from us being covered in cold wet white stuff, the local children built a snowman. This was something new, an odd development in a usually flat area, and had to be carefully approached. It was interesting to watch their reactions.
They both noticed it as soon as we entered the field, and there was a slight stiffening in both their body language.
