As the owner of GordonSetters (plus Irish and English) for over 40 years, I would never recommend flyball as a good sport for them. The fast tight turns on a dog that size could cause major hip/skeletal damage. I don't even recommend agility for much the same reason. Mine does obedience, rally and freestyle (dancing with dogs!) and when we can, he goes out into the field and runs flat out till he scents a bird, then he freezes into a point. Awesome to see. I flush the bird and once it's gone, he's off again to find the next one.
