If you live in America or Europe you may well have encountered a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, but there haven't been any in the UK - until recently.

Just getting the dogs into the country is a complicated business, but that's not the end of the challenges!

Kimberley shares her plans with us, and we are hoping that in due time a Swissy playmate will be coming to keep Buddy company.

Update 14th May 2009: The newly formed Great Swiss Mountain Dog Club of Great Britain can be found at www.gsmd.org.uk

Training tip

Joe Timko instructs us on how to teach the "off" command to your dog.

This is a very useful command which can save you, your friends and maybe your furniture from being jumped on.

Based in California, Joe tells us the steps to go through, and the critical timing to achieve the best results.

Lost Dogs

Jayne Hayes from www.doglost.co.uk is continuing to wage war against dog theft.
