Santa Paws is coming to town for Battersea’s Christmas Carol Concert

O Little Town of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will be decking the halls with bow wows of holly for a carol concert yule be sorry to miss this December.

The Battersea Christmas Carol Concert, proudly supported by aspire Estate Agents, is the first event of its kind for the world renowned rescue centre and promises to be full of furry fido cheer and the perfect opportunity for dog lovers to celebrate the festive season. Battersea’s homeless hounds will greet guests as they arrive and the charity’s pawsome rescue dogs will stay throughout the concert to enjoy festive carols lead by a choir.

Held on Wednesday 11 December from 7pm to 9pm in the winter wonderland setting of St Luke’s Church in Sydney Street, guests will be treated to mince pies and mulled wine to finish off the festivities.

The concert will also feature Battersea Christmas readings by friends of the Home - guaranteed to put any Scrooge in the festive mood. Tickets for the Christmas Carol Concert are £20 for adults and £10 for children, making it a happy howl-idays for Battersea animals as all funds raised go towards caring for the centre’s lost and abandoned dogs and cats.

Liz Tait, Director of Fundraising for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, says: “Battersea’s very first carol concert will be the perfect opportunity to wrap up warm and get into the Christmas spirit, all the while in the company of our guests of honour – the Home’s amazing rescue dogs.

“Christmas is a particularly busy time at Battersea with more lost and abandoned dogs and cats coming into the Home than at any other time of year. We’d love everyone to join us in celebrating the festive season and giving our homeless dogs and cats a Christmas filled with love this year.”

Mark Howell, director of aspire’s Battersea office says; “We are now delighted to be involved with such a worthy organisation and hope to help keep it thriving. After all, we are both in the business of providing a sense of belonging, of community and of family by finding the perfect home.”
